Value Added Course – Knitting

Our Department of Costume Design & Fashion has organized a Value Added Course for III B.Sc. CDF Students (2020 – 2023) on topic” Knitting” for Two days (25.08.2022 to 26.08.2022). Students were taken to various Industries by NSDC – Tirupur and taught about the recent innovations and working of the industry.

Students were explained about the Screen printing on Knitted fabric
Students were taught by the functioning of the Prints on the fabric
Knitting machine function was explained to the students

The department was established in the year 2005 with 50 students. Department offers 3 years B.Sc Costume design and fashion course affiliated to Bharathiar University since 2005. The master’s degree programme M.Sc affiliated with the Bharathiar University was started from 2012. Approximately 1000 students have passed out and most of them have been well placed in reputed companies and some of them are successful entrepreneurs. Many eminent personalities has visited and participated in the department activity.
